Superior Sense of Smell- Cats have more than 200 million odor sensors in their nose.  Compare that to humans and we only have 5 million.  Their sense of smell is 14 times better than that of humans.

Unparalleled Hearing - Cats can hear sounds up to 64,000 Hertz( Hz).  Compare that to humans and we can only hear up to 20,000 Hertz. As we age, that number falls to 12,000-15,000 Hertz.  Cats can hear about three times higher than humans.  Another fact that makes cats unique is their range of hearing.  Cats can hear sounds anywhere from 2,300-2,900 feet away.  This allows them to detect even the slightest movements of their prey.

Another Super power is  the Bengal cats sense of sight.  Cats can see images in as little as one-fifth the amount of light that people and most animals need to see.

Leaping Range/Pouncing is a big asset to Bengal Cats tactical hunting plan.   The average cat can jump up to six times their height in a single attempt. Compared to a  six foot tall human this would equate to a jump of approximately 64.8 feet.  You will notice before your bengal takes a big leap and pounces on an object, they will wiggle their bottom. Just as humans warm up before exercising, a bum wiggle is theorized as helping your bengal  prepare their muscles for a big leap. Pouncing is a big, energy-intensive movement for cats, so a wiggle could help flex their back leg muscles to reduce the risk of injury.

Super Speed-Your bengal Cat can run up to 35 miles per hour or 55 kilometers per hour.  It is theorized that the closer your bengal cat is to its wild ancestors, the faster it will be able to run.  In other words, a bengal cat that is a higher percentage of ALC (Asian Leopard Cat) will be able to run faster than a bengal cat with more domestic genes.  The fastest cat on the planet is the Cheetah, hiting an impressive speed of 60 miles per hour.  Conversely, humans average a running speed of 6.5 miles per hour for women and 8 miles per hour for men.  The highest sprinting speed recorded is 27.78 miles per hour recorded in 2009 by sprinter Usain Bolt.

Splendid Swimmer-Unlike other cats, your bengal cat loves water and is more than likely a first Class  swimmer.   This is a big advantage in their quiver of skills because they are able to follow prey into the water.    Because of your bengals fondness of water they enjoy catching Fish and amphibians.

Amazing Anatomy- Bengal cat are well known for their  muscular and athletic build. They have well developed muscles and strong bones.   Their hind legs are slightly longer than their front legs, which contributes to their agile and acrobatic movements. According to a 2002 study in the Journal of Expermintal Biology-The relationship between maximum jumping performance and hind limb morphology/physiology in domestic cats (Felis silvestris catus.  This study concluded that cats with longer back legs and a lean body mass were the most proficient jumpers.  If your bengal cat falls it will turn its body into a mini parachute.  Spreading out its legs to maximize the drag and distribute the force of impact across its body. Cats also have a built in balancing system called the "Righting Reflex" that allows them to orient themselves while spinning on their own axis and landing on their feet.  The sleek and elegant silhouette of your bengal cat allow them to move with skill and grace.

NASA CAT-  In 1969, in a research funded by NASA, T.R. Kane and M.P. Scher of Stanford, California published a paper in the International Journal of Solids and Structures titled “A Dynamical Explanation of the Falling Cat Phenomenon.”   This article helped NASA prepare astronauts for zero gravity. Highly intelligent. Another big asset for your bengal cat is their level of intelligence.  Known to be the second most intelligent cat  breed, they are able to analyze environmental factors and determine their best plan of action.
Personality- Last but not least is your Bengal Cat's Personality.  A bengal is patient and persistent.  Their wild ancestors have taught them to wait for their prey to come to them rather than initially chasing it.  The bengal may need to move swiftly and steathily to capture their target and the race has begun.
