Welcome to the world of exotic cats!

Bengal cats evolved from the mating of a domestic short hair cat to an Asian Leopard Cat.  Brown Spotted catMany domestic cats have been removed  from the wild for many years.  The Bengal cat is a fairly new breed that has been introduced to the United States in the 1980’s by one of our well known breeders, Jean Mill.  Well bred high quality Bengals can look very similar to its ancestor, the Asian Leopard Cat.  Their pelts can range from tan, light brown, orange and are usually accented with bold majestic stripes, dots and glitter.  This is what makes them exotic and unique as a house pet.  From their puffy whisker pads to the dark rings around their tails Bengals can be some of the most eye catching pets you can own!  Though Bengal cats reach physical maturity in about one year, Bengals can be very young at heart (kitten like) for some time after.  They are very energetic, playful and loving.  They can also be extremely curious!  Bengals are pedigreed cats and are currently being recognized by several organizations such as T.I.C.A (The International Cat Association) and T.I.B.C.S. (The International Bengal Cat Society).  These are excellent online resources to visit for additional information regarding registered catteries, shows, quality, and more!

Asian Leopard Cats are a rare breed of wild cat that are most commonly found in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. Gayzette Bengals - Asian Leopard Cat "Apollo"

As we continue to build a strong Bengal breeding program, we continuously research and adopt many methods to contribute to a very docile, loving and positive social interaction between humans and these wonderful animals.  As with any evolution in life, we are challenged to learn, compromise and understand to get positive results.  Do make an effort to better understand YOUR pet and many techniques you can apply to enhance your positive and loving experience.
